It’s great to let you know that I’m currently exhibiting as part of the ‘Ghosts of Gone Birds’ exhibition at the great new ONCA Gallery Brighton. The ‘Ghosts of Gone Birds’ is an ongoing art project dedicated to ‘breathing life back into the birds we have lost-so we don’t lose anymore’. After seeing the project in London back in November 2011 just after ‘A Natural History (Part Two)’ I knew that it was something that I wanted to get involved in.
The show includes work from a number of artists including Peter Blake, Ralph Steadman and Jamie Hewlett and I’ve included ‘Dodo (Raphus cucullatus)’ from ‘A Natural History (Part Two)’ as the only extinct bird from the series.
I’m now working with Michael Blencowe from the Sussex Wildlife Trust to produce two brand new pieces which will be unveiled in the new year– so watch this space for further developments and updates of how we get on!
